How We Got Here
Lefort Orthodontics has been a trusted orthodontic home for families across southwest Louisiana since 2005. Dr. Troy M. Lefort grew up in Cut Off, Louisiana, earned his dental degree from LSU School of Dentistry, and completed his orthodontic residency plus two years of post-doctoral training at Columbia University in New York City. After spending years in one of the most competitive training environments in the country, he chose to bring that knowledge back to his home state.
What started as a single office in Lake Charles has grown into a two-location practice reaching families in Lake Charles, Sulphur, Moss Bluff, Iowa, Vinton, and the surrounding communities. That growth happened one patient at a time, because the approach has never changed: know every patient by name, explain every treatment option clearly, and earn your trust before asking for it. It is an approach rooted in the same community values Dr. Lefort grew up with in south Louisiana.

Dr. Lefort is one of the only orthodontists in southwest Louisiana who designs and fabricates custom clear aligners in his own in-house aligner lab. Most practices send your impressions to a third-party manufacturer and wait for trays to arrive. At Lefort Orthodontics, Dr. Lefort personally oversees each aligner from digital scan to finished product, giving you a level of customization and clinical control that national aligner brands cannot match.
